I always liked those cars, can't tell from the picture but it is a fastback or a notchback?
-
Its a notchback. It is one of the cars from my hometown
that was a greate inspiration for me as a kid, since he is
9 years older than me, i just had a bicycle when i saw it
cruising down the mainstreet with ass up in the air N50
tires sticking out from the fenders the 340 crackling through
trush glass packs. I thought it must bee the coolest car
in the world :D

I always liked that body style too. I thought the notchbacks looked better, more 'basic', like a mean car should look. I think it'd look better with the tires tucked inside the wheelwell, but that's the way they use to run 'em, so I understand him keeping it that way.

He says, I built it this way so it stays this way! ;D
Its a real portal to the past, Rocket fivespokes
with Kelly supercharger N50 15 tires if any remember
those. White chassie with Emil Eagle the evil inventor
from Donald Duck painted on the 8 3/4 differential
Police scanner, superior stearing wheel, Gabriel Hi Jackers,
longer shackles, small Chromed Jerrycan in trunk.....
The whole nine yards from the 70s 8)

Sweet ride, glad to see it left as done. Perfect, don't change a thing.

A friend of mine showed up at last Thursday's McDonalds car gathering with his 66 Fairlane GT. It was last on the road in 1985. He has 68 GT wheels and the backs have L60-14's, the front tires are Sears! No dry cracking or anything. They might make sparks if they spin but sure cool to see this car just as it was when I last saw it on the road.

That thing is mean looking.
