Post by: Stangman on August 03, 2018, 09:18:53 PM
What is the color for the third member on a 9 inch, taking the 4.11s out and putting 3.70s in.
Would like to paint ham the original color.

It's just an oxide red primer, no?

I think it is a primer by the name of Rustoleum  don't know the correct spelling

Rustoleum red primer is what I've always been told and what I use.  I do a second coat with a clear flat, to seal the primer.  It seems to hold up pretty well.

The original finish was like red oxide primer but it had a sealed look rather than the fuzzy look of primer.  Shooting some matte clear on it would be one approach.  I use X-O red primer because it actually goes on with a smooth finish and looks like the original finish.  Get it at Tru Valu.
