;D ;D I did a extra photo session on that alone ....What was they thinking....or smoking
-
That's a lot of cool cars.
That Mustang 2 is wild looking. Bound to be owned by a body shop guy trying to use up the extra paint!!
A handcuff hanging from the rear view mirror!! You planning on being a bad boy?
Thanks for the ride along.

I only spotted 2 of Satan's triplets (55.56.57 Chev).. At local cruise ins they are as numerous as mosquitoes. I am impressed by the variety of models and brands at this show.. I would attend in a heartbeat.
-
I guess there where about hundred of the triplets :o I tried to take pics of
other cars than the triplets, nothing new.... they had about 1000 cars last year
the said there was more this year, To much to suck in in the end you just point
and squese with the phone. There was some cars you dont see regulary like the
57 Eldorado brougham and 57 Biaritz, some Lincoln premieres and continentals
Handcufs?? forgot about them some kinky girlfriend from the past hanged them
there and they stuck ;D
We saw Rudolf on our way there

...And just as annoying. What a nice car show. I especially like the 56 Fords, brought back some memories of one I let get away.
-
Some nice cars over there! :o Thanks for sharing with us. Bruce
-
I would guess there where about 10 56 Fords there a few 55s most of them
2D hard tops, a few convertibles No Crown victoria but a 56 Mercury Sunvalley lots and lots of
muscle cars Nr one muscle car i think was Gen 1 Firebird or Challenger/Cuda
lots of mustangs The blue one in the pics was suposed to be a SCJ but i saw
no oilcooler. Imported to Sweden in 71 first registred in 1980?
One 428 Cobrajet Torino, Some60-61 starliners some convertibles
quite a few Retractabel Hartop Fords 58and 59 no 57
Several 57 Eldorado Biaritz
Several 56 Lincoln Premiere
And a lot of 59 Caddy convertibels.....a car i dont understand how....welded up a bunch of them
in the 80s and....well not my cup of tea
Have moore pics to download from the phone
-
I don't care if it's the wrong brand. That Caddy Eldo Brougham is a hell of a car! It was GM's moon shot, just like Lincoln tried to do with the Mark-II.
Very cool pictures Heo, and some unique rare iron for so far away from the good ole' USA.
-
Funny thing with the Brougham W Conley, they made what? 3-400 maybe
and i have seen two of them live this one and one in my onehorse town in the
80s, whats the odds for that :o
What surprised me is how small and low they are compared to a regular 50s
Cadillac
-
It's hard to believe they could get that many cool cars together for a car show in Sweden. Do you think most were sold there, or imported as vintage cars?
That '58 retractable is beautiful. Same goes for the '61 Sunliner, and the '56 hardtop. Some really nice cars there. I guess where there's beautiful women, cool cars just naturally follow ;)
-
Doug in the 50s most Amerikan cars in Sweden (about 2-300 each year) was sold
as Taxi cabs, to the Police, or sales mans, So most of them where
black fourdoors with six cyl engines, some few hardtops or convertibles.
The 56 Crown Victorias that was unsold in US was shipped to Sweden and
sold as 57 model, I know of atleast four CV that was in my town in the 50-s
early 60s Two sold new here.
SAAB Sold Mopar in Sweden, our lokal SAAB dealer had a Hemi Baracuda in the showroom for a while
Ford Ordered batshces of Mustangs and Fairlanes with same equipment like 65 gt Four speeds mustangs or 66 fairlane XL
Fourspeed
In the early 70s during the gas crisis was when many of those more special cars came to Sweden
but many is imported in later years
I know some was sold back to US in later years at least one thunderbolt a 429 Boss
And some Mopar Hemi Cars
And there is allwas some maniacs buying Model-Ts on EBAY and travel around the midwest with it in a U-Haul truck
Trying to get it shipped home to Sweden ;D ;D

Yeah, I know a couple of those "maniacs"...lol That was still one of the nicest all original T bodies I've ever seen. My Dad just drug home a complete T frame, including all the suspension, that is near spotless. I have no idea where he found it, and I didn't ask. You need to make another trip to the U.S., get this thing oughta here ;D
-
;D As usualy Ollie have gone from resonable to extreme ;D he bought
a couple of Modell t chassies ...but there was some pitting from rust, needed
straightening and so on so.... He found some NOS front and rear crossmembers,
had new framerails made, one stock set one "hotrod" set if he want to hotrod it later
So now he had it at the powdercoater last time i talked to him
But i Can ask if he is interested in the chassie. Do you know what year it is
We are planning a trip to Ohio to get his wooden wheels made by that amish guy
in Baltic i think the place was. But that is probably next year
Reminds me i must look in the barn if i have some front hubs for him...

Ooohhh! Like the pink and white Ford! Dad has a new '55 in dark and light blue. Cool car!
-
I must say i think the 55-56 ford is the best looking 50s car
-
Baltic is right in the heart of Ohio's Amish land. Not surprising that he found somebody in that area to make him some wheels. I'm not sure what year T the chassis is. T's are a little out of my knowledge zone. But for sure, if you guys come to Ohio again, I hope you can stop by, or at least maybe we can meet up someplace. I'd make the trip to Baltic if I had to.
-
We probably travel around a lot, 5000 miles last time ;D
So we probably can hit your corner of Ohio :)
