My son has a Nissan Kingcab that needed rear brake shoes
and as he works in daytime i said i can get him shoes.
I go down to the parts store and asks for the shoes
No luck, he cant get them. Discontinued at all parts vendors
As the brakes is a copy of a regular Bendix brake, i call one of
the vendors of parts to American cars here in Sweden and ask for
a set of 1,3/4x 10 inch shoes. To what car he asks? Ohh you don't have
them for this car, Its A -86 Nissan pick up , try a V8 Fairlane or mustang
Now you just wait a minute i have them for 82-87
Ohhh i didn't know you sold Nissan parts...I don't, but i got them in a shipment of
shoes a long time back and they are still here on the shelf :o :o
Whats the odds for that??

Sometimes we get lucky. The vendor was probably just as happy to take something oddball off the shelf and see it go.

Probably he said finally i got rid of those whats the odds for that ;D
They had warning labels that they contained asbestos so not recently made
I think Asbestos have been baned the last 30 years in Sweden
