Stepsons -66 fairlane was manual trans and
someone that swaped to a C4 forgot to instal

Is there a bellcrank on the intake or..??
Never had a Auto Fairlane
Anyone that have pics from a shopmanual or something?
Thanks in advance

Verify first, but this should be the kit. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Scott-Drake-C6OZ-7A187-KIT-Mustang-Transmission-Kick-Down-Kit-1966-68-/382477475099?_trksid=p2349526.m4383.l4275.c10#viTabs_0 Seller ships worldwide. That Drake number cross-references to Fairlane, also.

So thats the same as a Mustang as i remember it from auto mustangs i had
the flat end of the wire with two holes istal at the kickdown lever on trans
and the threded end on the bellcrank on intake right?

Heo, my kickdown cable connects on one end to the kickdown lever on the C4, the other end to a special lever on the accel pedal linkage (not to the bellcrank connected to the intake). Bruce

Any pics Bruce? this have only a straight rod from the
pedal to the carb since it was a manual car
25-30 years since i had a auto mustang so memmory
is some kind of vauge.
This is a 289 engine there is two bolt holes on the intake
for some kind of belcrank
tried to google pick but no luck

Bruce i found pics like you said with an arm on the
accelerator for the wire. And instalation instruktions
on the drake kit so now i know
And Drake have the pedal two problem solved

Been a while since I had a slushbox Fairlane/Comet but isn't the kickdown activated by a paddle with a short cable that bolts to the side if the bellhousing area? The paddle gets moved by another paddle that goes down from the throttle pedal arm just after it bends out of the hole in the firewall?

Heo, glad to hear you got it figured out. Would be hard to take pics of that setup, as it's a little hidden! Btw my car is mainly stock except for the SBF stroker if you have further questions. Haha
