Title: Pin for Distributor Gear

My new roller cam requires a Distributor gear change ,what is the drill size and what pin should I install?

You can use a 3/16” roll pin.  It will require a 3/16” drill.

I think the stock pin is 1/8". The one in my MSD was...I did a gear change this last weekend.

Yes, use a coiled pin.  Much stronger.  You can buy them by the bag in different diameters and lengths at McMaster Carr

  The key is good press on the gear itself. The roll pin will shear if the press is too light or non existent.
