Didn’t have a chance with my kids. Not gonna let that happen with the grand kids. He already has wrenches and screwdrivers down. Today was lefty loosy, righty tighty day. He’s 2 and 9 months.
Before these pics my son brought over his girlfriends Honda Civic to replace the alt. Seems he got some estimates that were ridiculous and figured he could do it much cheaper. He was right. A little guidance from dad and he got it done himself. So the time lost when he was a kid is coming back.
In between the kids I got the wagon running on it’s new carb from Drew.
All in all a damn fine day in the driveway. Thank you Lord.

Looks like fun times Marc. Enjoy.

Awesome! Good for you and family. I have my two little ones organizing my toolbox and sweeping. Got a pic somewhere of my 7 year old tightening header bolts.

Good stuff. Kids (and grandkids) turn simple things into lifelong memories. He'll remember working with you when he gets older :) Some of my best memories I have are doing little things with my grandparents when I was a kid
My daughter is 4 and loves working with me on the car. Not many kids in her preschool can say they helped change jets on a AFB in a '64 Merc. :)

Amen Marc, great stuff :D I love the sincerity and focus the little ones put to the task, you can see it in these pictures too, determined to get it right for the big guy. Can't beat it.

That's what it's all about.
I was lucky/unlucky to be gone 8 months a year, but home for 4. I tried to make the 4 count with the lil ones. Only now that they are 17 and 14 can I pursue my passions and hobbies in a more aggressive manner.

That's like when I show my 427 Cobra, I let anyone, even kids to sit in the car. Best part of any show when they smile ear to ear.
Glad to see both enjoying themselves. Cars and kids, aint no better ma !

I have fond memories of doing things with my granddad when i was
a kid. He was not a car guy but doing woodwork, fishing, hunting
he learned me to shot with his 22, he laughed when i wanted to
shoot the shotgun and the Mauser ;D .He built me a crossbow out
of a floor plank and a spruce branch. Learned me to drink coffee at the
age of four to my mothers dismay :D. Learned me to drive tractor
Learned me to drive his Motorcycle and gave it to me when i got older
I now live in his house and have his Shotgun. The Husqvarna as he called it
and his motorcycle i still miss him
Your grandson going to remember your moments together
