Title: Recommended bearings for stroker crankshaft
Post by: Fordman on April 05, 2018, 10:12:32 AM
I'm looking for opinions from those who have built strokers for bearings  (main and rod). I understand that most stroker crankshafts have a greater radius against the crank cheek. Will FM 125M main bearings work?. Do they have the correct radius for this type of crankshaft. Same with  BBC HN or HK rod bearing?.  Btw...The crankshaft in question is an RPM 4.25" forged crank. Thanks for your time.....John

I always run the FM 125M main bearings on strokers, no issues.  Used to run FM rod bearings too, but have switched to Clevite and have had better luck with those.

Same here.

Generally run FM 125M or 146M on aftermarket blocks.

On rods, I will either run a FM 8-7200CH or a Clevite 743HN.
