I purchased a stack injection from s FE'er, which he painted the throttle bodies. I planed on painting them my cars body color which is blue.
As I was taking apart the T/B, I noticed under the paint was blue anodizing !
So, how can I remove the paint without damaging the anodizing ?

Anodising is just soooo thin, best too use a heat gun. Then maybe some lacquer thinner, almost everything aggressive enough too soften the paint will attack the anodising to some degree.

I assumed so. I can't think of a mild produce that could be used safley ?
I wonder about some of the non-solvent cleaners ?

Brake fluid is pretty mild dont know how
it is on anodizing but i think it can take
brakefluid. it solve the paint in a couple of days

Try some citrus based paint remover on a scrap anodized part. If it doesn't hurt it, then try it on the paint. Guessing .

Few good ideas.

You can always have it re-done if it gets messed up. I know on gold anodize acetone and IPA applied to a rag and then wiped on it didn't seem to affect it.

Anodizing is an electro chemical coating process. Only a caustic chemical like oven cleaner or something with acid will bother it . Brake cleaner , carb cleaner , non caustic paint removers etc will remove the paint and as long as you don't "rub" on the anodizing , it will not be affected. Since the anodizing process etches the aluminum it is often used to help paint adhere to aluminum parts besides inhibit corrosion ( it's main purpose).

Great information. I'll look into it.
