Title: Max static & dynamic compression ratio

what is recognized maximum comp ratios on race gas and a non O-ringed block? is 14:1/ 11.8: too high?

I don't think that's too high, Dean.  I would say with Cometic head gaskets you could go to 15:1 - Jay

my initial target numbers were a full point lower but measurement after assembly shows I am higher than I feel comfortable with. I know what detonation can do !

I have a cast Iron Pond block with Cometic head gaskets with 14+ compression ratio with no issues.
