Does anyone have any experience with CVR products. They have introduced a modular 55 gpm electric pump that should support hp levels over 600hp. They sell FE specific adapters to run this pump.
the issue to date has always been the FE specific pumps such a Mezereie were only rated to 35-40gpm. Jay adapted one of the Lima specific 55gpm pumps to his High Riser but if these pumps have a good reputation it seems there is now an off the shelf part that can be used on big hp mills.

That CVR pump looks pretty good, and would have been a lot easier to use than making up the adapters for the 385 pump. I will have to give one of those a try...

looks like I bought my Meziere too soon :'( , that CVR looks bad azz

Can't seem to find any FE mounting kits on that site.

I was dooped. I first saw this on the summit site with the adapters listed for the FE motors. When I went to the CVR site for more info I only saw Ford BB listed so I sent them an information request. This is what I got back
"Good Afternoon Robert,
We apologize for the delay in response - we have had some power outages and
issues with our emails the past couple of days.
Unfortunately, we only carry an adapter for a 429-460 Series engine.
Have a nice evening.
Sincerely,
CVR Inc. "
I wonder how many sets they would have to sell to justify the setup time?
Jay any interest in producing a run of yours?

Those things were actually a real pain to machine, and I imagine that what I would have to charge for them would make them prohibitively expensive. On the other hand, making an adapter for the CVR water pump to work on an FE would probably be fairly easy. That is a project I might be interested in working on after Drag Week...
-
That would be great. I'd be interested in buying a set if you plan on making a few.
-
Now you're talking. Remember you also have some dyno projects during that downtime ;D
-
OK, I'll look into that when I get back from Drag Week. And I'm actually pretty fired up about running that tunnel port...
-
You're fired up about it how do you think I feel.
I have a chassis just waiting for it.

the memories of Drag week are in the rear view mirror. Maybe it's time to look into that project. I'll supply a pump for mock up.

You still have my address? Send me the pump, and I'll start taking a look at doing this. No promises on the schedule, though, since I have the intake adapter project on the front burner now, plus I have plans for the Drag Week cars, since they didn't get finished up in time for the event.
