This is a very nice standard bore (minimum wear, no damage) C6ME block. Date code 7E31. These were used for some early 428 blocks and can be bored to 428 spec. Sonic sheets included. I also have date-matching C7AE A heads and S code 4V intake available, selling separately. I really don't know what these are worth so I'm starting high at 750.00...or make me an offer. I know there aren't many left like this. Will pallet and ship from commercial address. Shipping extra.

Some have questioned my comment about early 428 blocks. I was told that some of the early 428 blocks were "non-428" C6ME blocks. Some say they had a scratch, some say they didn't but I've seen early 428 blocks with no 428 in the w/j and "390" water passage on the deck. Whether or not they were factory is very hard to prove or disprove. I'm also not trying to pass this off as a 428 block. This is a 390 block.

Scott,
I used an identical block for my garden block build that's outlined her in the projects section. It doesn't have the 428 deck water passages either but it came straight out of a 67 wagon, had all 428 internals, and looked to have never been out of the car so I have to believe it indeed was used for a 428 block, maybe the factory used what they had that day I dk, I do know that even after going .010 over to a 4.140 it still had good sonic #s. The block is nothing special, not a 3 web block but the thick cylinders it had was a better option to me than a few other 105 blocks I had at the time.

Thank you Keith.
