Title: Edelbrock F427 Intake Manifold
Post by: Arizona ‘58Mercury on February 06, 2018, 09:50:16 PM
Picked up this intake last week.  I know it’s older but all in all pretty good shape on all matting surfaces.  Only question is on a few of the corners of the pushrods passages they are clearances and not sure if from damage or not.  Can post a pic. Will it affect operation, if so options?

Typically damage to the pushrod tubes or passages don't cause any issues with anything. About the only purpose they serve is to help make the intake more rigid between ports, for the bolts that hold the intake on. If they have been completely removed or busted out, it might effect some of that, but it depends on where it's at. A picture would help determine that though.

Do you mean part of the material around the pushrod holes is milled down lower? I think that was to fit the earlier drip tins.
