I just dragged this cam out of my stash what does anyone know about this cam, Matt would like to use it in a 1967 Mustang 427 9-1 compression with a top loader wide ratio, I was thinking 389-1 or 350-1 Thanks Leny Mason

Leny, only thing I could come up with is:
242/242 @ .050", 110 LSA, .512/.512 lift, set up for .030" lash.

This is the Cam card Thanks Leny Mason

Well, I was wrong......whatever info I found when I Googled it was pretty far off.
253/253 @ .050", .563"/.563" lift. With the valve events listed, it's a 108 LSA, with 4° advance.
The advertised duration is measured at a funky .011" lift, so the 330° seems bigger than it really is, in comparison to other cams.
That's a nice street/strip camshaft for a 427. Will be pretty thumpy. Where it will peak will depend on the heads and intake.

Thanks I think it would be fun to try it Matt's Dad is building this car, I am trying to get them to put the 428 crank in it but I am not having much luck, my feeling is stroke is a good thing , do you have an opinion on pistons. Leny Mason

If you don't have pistons yet, and you're working with a 427 stroke and rod length, I think I'd snag a set of new forged pistons that are light weight and use a modern ring pack.

I remember running that cam in my 390 Fairlane in the late 70's. Very old cam design. I remember it not running that well...car was faster with the next milder cam in the Crane catalog.

It seems like that cam would want a lot more than 9:1 compression, as well.
