Title: Grand National Roadster show
Post by: turbohunter on January 27, 2018, 09:52:03 AM
Went to the GNRS yesterday. I'm a bit Ford centric in my picture taking. There were 3 lightweights here. One of the owners said he had a Tbolt that he wanted to bring but the show said no. Weird.
I've never seen anyone do a Galaxie quite like the black one. Twin turbos in there.
The wagon was unbelievable. Not to keen on the wheels but the rest of it was stellar. If the Merc had a Merc engine instead of a Caddy it would be a perfect car.

Great looking stuff, gotta agree on the wagon wheels tho, thanks for putting up the pix.  The black Galaxie just shows what I can do with mine if I get bored and stumble across 200 large in the process (I do have the hood tho  ;D).  Not diggin' the wheels on that either, guess I've just never been a fan of too much rim and not enough tire, shows my age.

Agree on to much rim not enough tire.

That '49 Mercury is the epitome of coolness, in my book. I had one when I was really young, but had to sell it when my parents got a divorce. REALLY wish I had that car back! That one is done just right, too. I'd have preferred a flathead also, but at least the Caddy engine is true to the time period.

I can't even begin to say how much I detest those wheels on that wagon!! At the risk of offending someone, that stuff looks like total garbage.

Yeah, really to bad as the car itself is pretty darn nice.

(sorry it's on facebook, no youtube link)

Ya, I'm also in the same boat with "BIG" rims.  Don't do anything for me.

Here's the winner of the how big is to big award.
I stole the pic from BS but I almost took a pic for myself just because these wheels are so monstrous.
Looks like a life size Hot Wheel. Orbiting around the planet of the ridiculous.
