Title: 482 stroker carb size and fuel pump
Post by: Jb427 on January 07, 2018, 11:38:30 AM
What is a good size carbs for a 482ci engine and a good place to buy a custom pair for my build.
I would like to run a mechanical fuel pump as well.
I am running bbm cnc heads bbm 2x4 tunnel wedge intake 700 lift solid roller cam 10.5 compression ratio.

We use a pair of custom made Quick Fuel 750s on the ones we build

What about a mechanical fuel pump for and engine combo like this?

I use custom Quick Fuel carbs as well, usually 725-750 cfm.

If you’re around 600 hp, a modified carter or an edelbrock pump will work.  If you’re over that I would suggest an electric pump to keep up.

Clay Smith makes a high volume mechanical pump for the FE. The size of the pump body requires a little clearance work on the corner of the block above the oil filter adapter.
