Title: help with fe valve covers are they mag ?

they have a look like some boss 429 magnesium valve covers.how can you tell?i was told these were 64 only.i know you dont see them often.anyone have a mickey thompson catolog from 1964?
they have this marking inside and look to be sand cast?

Take some white vinegar and put a few drops on the casting.  If its magnesium, it will bubble and fizz.  If its aluminum, nothing will happen.

Those are the early M/T indeed. Gary Cochran was looking for some for his dragster restoration, car is finished with some chrome pentroofs now but maybe they still want those?

I'm extremely interested. Those are the one set of M/T's I don't have.
There was a crazy ebay bid for close to $1000 a few years ago but it seems there were shill bids driving the price up.
I can't pay near that price.
PM me if you are interested in selling/trading FE parts/Valve covers for them.
