An original Ford Tunnel Wedge. Unported, but does have a VERY light gasket match. Many of the port sides are untouched. No plenum work, no stripped holes and very little corrosion at the water ports and thermostat hole. It does have 2 minor issues, one being part of a pushrod tube is busted off. This is under the valve cover and in no way causes any problem with the intakes function. The second issue is it does have a repaired spot at the front, left side valve cover rail. It has been welded and is slightly noticeable. It could easily be worked to make it unnoticeable. The steel bottom cover is in good shape and I epoxy primed it and painted it silver. I don't have the safety wire bolts for it.
Apparently the new BBM intakes have killed the value of the originals, although I'm not sure why, because there are a few significant differences. If you want an original, this would make a nice one.

The aftermarket parts are putting downward pressure on the old stuff for sure.
Used to be your intake was hard to come by and would be snatched up at that price.
I think the BBM TW is cheaper so unless someone just needs a Ford part it will be harder to sell.
Good luck selling it. It's a nice piece.

You're right, Gary, that would have been a killer price just a year and a half ago. I still think the original has some advantages over the BBM piece, given the right build. With the BBM's ports being bigger, the original should work better on smaller 'true' 427 based engines. Then there's the oil filler hole, which was never machined on originals.

Bump for a price drop.

It's also usually harder to sell parts like this at Christmas time. Most people's funds are tied up. As spring approaches it may be a different story.

Spring, Summer and Fall have come and gone, still no takers. Nobody wants factory stuff anymore with all the BBM intakes and blocks out there.

I noticed on the other site, you have a 427 block for sale. If it’s still available,
can you tell me about it? Thanks, Gavin

Gavin, I've decided not to sell the block. Thanks for the interest though.
