Title: Distributor clearance

I want to try an msd distributor in my 427 highriser. The front carb hangs over the stock distributor a bit. Does anyone have an msd distributor on a 2 4bbl highriser that clears the front carb bowl? Also has anyone had issues with petronix point eliminator crapping out at high rpm?

I think it fits as long as you don't use the cap with the male terminals. That is the style my MSD distributor has and it puts the terminals into the carb.

Do you have the carbs on the right way? Ford fitted them backwards so that the front one clears the distributor.

That doesn't matter on HR intakes as they moved the front carb forward to fit the secondary metering blocks. They overhang either direction.
