I'm thinking about getting a dash cam, anyone have any experience, tips, or recommendations? I'd like to get something for Dragweek, although I may not be able to get it in time for this year. My concern would be something easy to edit and upload the video to something like YouTube or Facebook.

I'm interested to hear any responses to this. I've been thinking about getting one too, mostly for accident protection. I've read a little about them, but not enough to make a recommendation. Like most things, quality seems to be all over the place. I'd prefer one that records forward and rearward (the only way to provide positive proof in an accident).
Kevin, I have 2 GoPros. I'm only going to use one to watch my gauges during the runs, but I'll take them both. You're welcome to use one if you want. I have spare batteries and the camera can be charged through any standard power port or USB port. They're easy to use and download off of the micro SD card, which I have several 64 GB cards, but editing requires some sort of video editing software. I'm able to download the GoPro software since I'm a registered owner, and it's pretty simple to use. You might be able to find a free basic video editing software someplace on the web. Something to think about.

We currently have SpyTec A119 dash cams installed in our vehicles.... based off all the research , the A119 appears to be the best deal for the money...it records higher quality than 1080P and it has tons of features.... Amazon has them in stock: http://amzn.to/2wFv5Sr
The manufacturer also gives you a warranty which they do honor.
We love our A119's.... they have never given us any problems.
