Title: Modifying Water Pump Adapter, Bad Idea?
Post by: mbrunson427 on June 26, 2017, 08:31:48 AM
I'm getting all the parts/pieces in a pile so I can do this water pump change out and electric fan setup. I realized this weekend that I'm going to have nowhere for the heater core supply fitting once I put the CVR pump on. I thought about drilling and tapping the passenger side adapter for the heater core barb fitting. Bad idea?

I had the same thought. Jay said to drill and tap the adapter and add a fitting.

It seems like a simple deal......but then i started having this fear of starving that side of the engine or something. The neighbor is a machinist, I'm going to hand it to him tonight and tell him to go for it.

I think you'll be fine doing that, you are basically just duplicating the factory water routing.  No problem, in my opinion.  Can't say I've ever tried it, though...
