Title: Need help with 1964 Galaxie body mount disassembly.
Post by: wcbrowning on April 18, 2017, 01:21:21 PM
Hi, I'm trying to replace the rubber doughnuts on my 1964 Galaxie body mounts, and I'm not sure how to get the steel portion of the mount disassembled.  Looking inside of it, it appears to be like a hollow sex bolt arrangement.

Attached are two photos.  One of a complete  mount still on the frame bracket, and another of a mount that the old rubber doughnut has been removed from, with the steel sleeve portion of the mount remaining on the frame bracket.

If any one can give some details on how to get these apart properly, advice would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!

That is Two parts the lower and the upper part the lower is inside the upper
use heat on the outside then you should be able to take them apart
