Title: Met Chad D at Cars and Coffee
Post by: My427stang on May 26, 2012, 10:43:34 AM
Pleasure meeting you Chad, and I LOVE the 64.  I think you are going a great direction with it.

Here is the valve seal company we talked about.    http://www.valveseal.com/v-high%20perfor.html

Depending on what size your guides were machines to, I'd expect you need a VS-373, VS-375 or VS-377

I forgot to ask if you had worked the curve in that Mallory distributor, but if you haven't, the combination of an RPM intake and a quick timing curve could make a hell of a difference, may want to consider it when you do the valve seals

Thanks Ross, your Mustang is a sweet ride, it makes wonderful music!  Thanks for the follow-up on the valve seals, I'll give them a look.  The curve in the Mallory is bone stock, I've got an old Sun distributor machine I need to get playing on...

The valve seals will likely be accompanied by fresh valve springs, the RPM intake, and a recurve on the dizzy.  Now to make time to get it done.
