Title: Engine weight
Post by: Bruce R. on March 02, 2017, 08:45:56 AM
When I got my FE from the junkyard I made a lifting plate to bolt to the carb flange, now that I have an aluminum intake will that still work ?  I don't want to pull the threads out of the aluminum !

Agreed, not an issue.  Pigeon shooting sounds fun!!  We can't even think about it up in CT.

I just had to pull my 463 stroker out about 3 months ago and just stabbed it last weekend, its has an aluminum intake, used studs and there were no issues. intake is an Edelbrock victor 427.  Should work just dandy!
