Title: Coolant sealer
Post by: fekbmax on February 27, 2017, 11:17:44 PM
Not anticipating any kinda leaks but thought about using some type of sealer .
Race engine, block fill, only 1-1/2" of block will see Coolant along with heads.
Whats a good sealer to run through in anyones opinion  ?

For a lot of years, Ford put Bars Leaks in all engines before the car was started for the first time. Just the pellets, not the water-soluble oi that's in the jar/can from the auto-parts store. Maybe they still do?

I've had good luck with Moroso Ceramic Seal.

X2 on the moroso. Sealed up a couple big leaks with it and they stayed sealed. I've heard the formula for straight water works better than the one for antifreeze.
