This is not really a technical topic, so I apologize in advance for that, but I'd like to get some feedback from the forum on stickers that I'm considering having printed. Please vote for your favorite in the poll above. Also, I am open to any suggestions for other "clever remarks" to put on the stickers, rather than the ones shown; I'm not married to any of these. Thanks in advance for your input - Jay

Fear begins with FE, is a neat one that's been around
-
I always liked the sticker on the back windshield of the "white trash fairlane"
It says:
"The Surgeon General didn't say anything about smokin Chevy's"
-

Thanks, but that one seems associated with the Network 54 forum and I don't want to step on any toes there.
-
This is going to sound wrong, but I like "Yanking The Dinosaur". Any chance of doing a vinal one as well that doesn't have the white field?
-
How about "Not all Dinosaurs are Extinct.", or next year, "60 years of race winning history".
Maybe "real engines have pushrods going thru the intake manifold"
-

I like "60 years of winning history"
but comments about pushrods through the intake are probably better made by those that don't manufacture intake adapters :P

A couple from Down Under....
Gentlemen, Start your Dinosaurs
Fossil Fuel and FE Engines - a Winning Combination
-
How about "Legends Never Die". Or "FE The Iron That won`t Rust". Or FE The Iron That won`t Rust in Peace".
-
My dad's FE is better than your dad's BBC!
-
I like the 60 years of race winning history one. But the sticker is for my business, not just about the FE, and of course 60 years of race winning history wouldn't apply to the business. I'm beginning to think that maybe I should do a couple, one that just says "FE Power", geared just towards the engine, and one that says "FE Power LLC", geared more for the business. Thanks for all the ideas so far...

Ford Exterminator.... Killing Rats & Mice Since 1958 or 1978?
-
Jay you could borrow shamelessly from another ..
How about Fe Power LLC the trailing edge of technology
-
My vote is for no tagline. Sometimes simple is best.
When you start comparing the FE to other engines and rubbing it in other people's faces, you can open yourself up for backlash.
-
Or how about FE Power LLC "Home of World Domination Heads and performance parts"
-
Might want to reconsider the Yanking thing, considering the mentality of the Chebbrainwashed types we all have to deal with, they could spin that pretty good lol.. Maybe something like 21st Century Dinosaur or similar- let the Chebbie guys do the yanking :o
-
How about "Ford FE Forever" (or FE's)
-
I agree with Brent,

Well, I am going to get the one below printed, regardless. I was just thinking about doing a second one that is a little more "edgy", which I thought some people might appreciate...

LOL, until you guys brought it up I never thought of the whole "yanking" issue. How about, DRAGGING the Dinosaur into the 21st Century? That's probably better. Glad I can put these ideas online before I go spend money on this crap ;D ;D ;D
-
I think you're safe with the one you just posted.
-
How about "Dragging the Legendary Side Oiler into the 21st Century"? or something like that.
Some might not recognize FE but all car guys know what a Ford side oiler 427 is.

I like the FE, but if anyone would get spanked, it would not be the small blocks if taken seriously! Them are fighting words! Naming your business is better in the long run, and giving the FE a build up is not bad, but to denigrate anything else would be counterproductive in my opinion. Joe-JDC
-
Dragging the dinosaur into the 21st century for us drag racers :) . Im liking that one.
The way you have it laid out would make it easy to trim any phrase off if it wasn't wanted.
-
maybe something like this, obviously change v8 to F.E.
Hopefully not to risque but my wife picked it!
-
Lots of yanking and spanking going on around here.... but nothing about stroking. ;D How about hanging the FE from one of those marionette handle/string thingys? Just a half-baked thought.....

I like Rory's "Not all Dinosaurs are Extinct."
And agree with Joe's comments above.
-
I can't believe you actually solicited "clever remarks". Man, talk about opening the door! ;D ;D
I like the smallblock one, but something that hardly ever comes up is the most obvious.
FE, the only TRUE Iron!
-
Hmm, now that I think about it, that might not work so well for someone who manufactures aluminum parts...lol
I also like Rory's Dinosaur comment.
Either way, these will be retroactively free for people who've purchased parts? ;)
-
Not many folks will get that. FE the only real/true iron. Engine sizing plaques or stickers always sell good, and horsepower claims look good on display at car shows or drive-in nights. Joe-JDC.
-
How about "Sneaky Fast Parts for Senile Old Farts"? Hey, just keeping it real. Or "My FE Just Got Stomped by a Turbo 4 Cyl". Whaddya think?
-
I was wondering when you would weigh in LOL! And just for the record, I have NEVER been beat by a turbo 4 cylinder. In fact, Hot Rod printed a letter to the editor from me, back in the mid 1980s, where I bragged about that...
-

OH NO I'm getting predictable. My worst nightmare.

Newsflash: it ain't the 80's anymore, and the really rocketeer ricers are not going to be found waltzing about the countryside during Drag Week. At all. Channel 1320 Video and similar will prove that an NA FE has no chance unless it is a set-to-kill race-only car. The turbo world has passed us by. :'(
-
OK how about "IF you gotta ask, you don't need to know" Better?
-
ford FE power from Cobras to One tons
-
Anyway ,I like the drag race lights , is that for a pro tree ?
-
445 FE Stroker. Make a nice breather decal
-
Not liking many of these --- but maybe something like "it's the Torque that counts"

Personally I like the Dinosaur one.The owner of the shop that is painting(hi end resto shop) my 68 thinks the car would be cooler and worth more with a blown 5.0 Coyote in it..I have to disagree with him.Oh and 20" wheels.....
FE Fords....well seasoned Iron
-
If your making multiple versions of the stickers, consider what FE originally was named for: Fairlane Engines. Maybe Fairlane Engines Forever.
-
OK, last suggestion before I go hang out with my commanding officer, Captain Morgan. "Yesterday's Iron; Today's Performance" It's all I can come up with without smart assedness or foul mouthedness. Simple and to the point.

I agree with you. Every Tom, Dick and Mary is putting Coyotes in old iron.
Screw that.

FE: Ford's Equalizer! FE: Ford's Exterminator! Joe-JDC
-
"Great back then, even better today"
-
To Babybolt---
There was just very recently a discussion once again (perhaps over on the Network 54 site?) regarding the 'FE' moniker. Seems to be well established that Ford considered 'FE' as Ford-Edsel. There was also the 'MEL' ---Mercury-Edsel-Lincoln. :)

I have to throw my 2 cents worth in here..
1) 427 reasons to love a Ford
2) It's not for beginners
3) That's what I'm Torque'n about !
4) Ford's drag'n FEar factor
;D

Jay I think you should bring some stickers to the FE Reunion at Beaver Spring. No matter what they say, you will still be able to sell them. (maybe a couple different kinds) Long ones and round ones to go on the quarter window ? Just a opinion
-
I wouldn't compare the FE to other engines in a slogan. Whether it be a ricer, a small block, a Hemi, whatever, there will be faults in the comparison. So What is the FE engines biggest attribute in this day and age? Probably that it is a legend from the golden age of speed. How about "Awakening the legend" or "resurgence of the legend", "renaissance of a legend" or something like that?
-
tag line I wrote on one of my EMC entries...
"Extinct my A...."
-
Forditude with attitude
-
There's your line "FE a Speed Legend" or "FE a Performance Legend"
-
"FE POWER"
...never heard of an FE?
Let me sing you the song of my people.
-stabs throttle-

Ford Excellence

OK, here is what I ended up with:

Like em all

The last one makes the most marketing sense by far but I like the first one the best.

How do we get um ?
Gonna have any at the reunion?

The third one is cool. I will take three t-shirts, medium, trim fit.

I will have them at the Reunion, and also available afterwards via mail - Jay

I like it, maybe some smaller clear stickers for windows?
-

I will take 10 screen-printed on whatever size FEMA-issue body boxes will fit a big block Chevy.
