There's something glaringly wrong with this "rebuilt" 351C that really calls into question their expertise. You'll get a little laugh when you see it. ;D

I'm no 351C expert, but I can't imagine that the carb pad is supposed to slant backwards. Unless, of course, the INTAKE MANIFOLD is on backwards ;D ;D ;D

Sure hope he didn't do the engine build......
-
Its also not a 4V engine...The 2 is clearly visible in the upper corners of the head...
-
Tried to find me a Cleveland to build....They
are completly dried up in Sweden :(
I have a lowmilage 400 a 351 block that needs a sleve
a couple of 4V heads a crank
What if.... 400 with 4V heads 351 C Tunnel ram with spacer
plates a nice custom cam. Anyone here built something close
to that...No ore GO?

They must have saw your post. The add has been deleted for Craigslist. :(

I e-mailed them a couple of hours ago and pointed out the obvious..I also told them there add had made its way into the Ford forums...No names mentioned...

If he did, I'll bet the rings are in upside down...
-
Easy to fix---just turn the pistons the other way!

I get so tired of the "It's rebuilt!!!" crowd. I'd prefer a bucket of parts...

Well, just run the motor backwards.

For a 400, check with Tim Meyer @ http://www.tmeyerinc.com Tim has a lot of parts to make a 400 run well. Primarily, you need pistons with a custom pin height to get compression up to reasonable levels. Price Motorsports sells adapters for fitting 351C intakes to 400 engines (9.2 deck vs 10.3 deck). Lots of pullers and mud trucks make big power with the 400. I even have a virgin bore 400 block stashed in the shed.

Falcon67: from your reply "Well, just run the motor backwards".
Doesn't that make it a SBC or not????
