Title: Craigslist score!
Post by: 428Marauder on December 17, 2016, 03:13:28 PM
Looking around for an oil pan and I found this:

$15. Looks small to me, but the guy said it was off a 1966 428. Needs some work but you have to like the price.

He also had a pair of heads and exhaust manifolds off the same motor that had the original air injection rails:

C6AE-U heads

$140. I have no use for them, but I've never even seen those injector rails before. Couldn't say no.

The guy also had some "large port" 390 heads for $200 that I did not buy. Maybe should.

That oil pan is for mustang with power steering if I am not mistaken.  Does it have any baffles inside?   Those air injection tubes are hard to find at times for restoration folks, so will be valuable.  This begs the question, was it a 428, or had it been replaced with a 428CJ at some point in the past?  Joe-JDC

I think Joe that these are early fullsize tubes.
Way to early for CJ stuff. The C6AE-U stuff is "normally found on fullsize with logs"
Still probably very rare these days. ;)

The oil pan does have baffles. My Merc has PS so if it is for PS that might be a good thing.
