I FINALLY have a real motor in my 65 Mustang. This is a mmajor step ahead on my project. Now I can finish up my engine compartment wiring, mount my radiator, run fuel lines...etc. The motor I have in it now is a kind of mild 428CJ that I have had for a LONG time. It will be something good to use while I get all the other junk sorted out. :)

Looks right at home there, Alan. I'm surprised there is as much room between the water pump and the radiator as there appears to be. Out this summer, maybe?

Well, if I can get my butt in gear, sometime this summer is doable. I would LOVE to take it on Dragweek instead of my Galaxie, but I'll have to see how things go. Paint will be the big issue. I am going to have to take it somewhere and the guys that are good usually have a waiting list.

Hey Alan---
Give us a little chapter and verse regarding the patch panels and the front suspension. Please?

The front suspension is a MII type unit I got from R&C Motorsports. It has tubular a-arms and uses coil-overs. The patch panels came with the kit and I chose to bolt them on rather than weld. This way if I have some overheating issues I can remove them.

Nice! I just recently helped put together a 65 mustang coupe with a 340hp 302 Ford crate motor.
We left the 3.00 gears in it and it's a blast to drive.
I would imagine an FE would be a blast+++.
