I was recently looking for some to replace the hardware store bolts I found in my shafts  >:( and I could only find studs.

Keith, I've bought directly from ARP before but not sure if the price will differ.  Bruce

What do you guys do about the reduced shank bolt for the oiling?  I didn't see any in the list.

That is why I've always used stock bolts or aftermarket studs; those have the reduced diameter shank.  I'm not away of any aftermarket bolts available like that.

id prob just turn a couple down a bit, not as much as stock, could be used as a type of rocker shaft oil restriction

Keith,
I'm curious, why exactly are you wanting to use bolts instead of studs?

Need something that's going to be temporarily permanent while setting up my rocker shafts and 9 Point mounting system. Need to be able to remove and install the bolts several times as I  leave shafts stands mounted to head and remove the bolts and slide the shafts in and out while still in place on head. Needs to be functional though so normal grade 8 hex won't work, haveta have the small head of the 12 point bolt like the 12 point nuts for the studs. Studs will be installed and used once everything is set up, tested and in race condition. Don't want to install and remove the studs over and over and gual them up.
