Title: U-joints
Post by: Landlubberatsea on August 30, 2016, 11:14:26 AM
Hi
Thought I would invest in some new U-joints before start up and just wondered if there is a preferred manufacturer or one you should avoid?
1330 in front and 1330/1310 in rear. No racing, about 500 ft/lbs.

I've gone through quite a few.
I have never had a problem with Neapco joints.
I have have a problem with Moogs.
There are made in Mexico Moogs and made in USA Moogs.
I literally broke four Mexican joints within two months on my truck (geometry was good).
Put on an American made Moog and no more breaks.

I like neapco. I buy them from denny's driveshaft. also, it's claimed that the ones without a grease zerk are stronger due to the fact that they are not hollowed out for the grease to travel out to the cups.
