These 2 pieces came in a box of junk with my 68' Mustang 390GT.
I've seen a few of this style of flat PS pump top (adjuster) brackets on older F trucks etc.
The other bracket is also made of quite heavy gauge steel and has a bolt right through type of adjuster slot and a lifting hook attached.
I have a hunch its also a PS pump bracket? Maybe not...
I've blasted and etch primed both of them but alas no PN I can find. However both have a large "I" stamped on them.
I'm guessing they may have been part of an OEM mounting kit that had one PN for the whole set.
(like my own Mustangs PS pump OEM bracket kit).
Given their size I'm assuming PS / AC or similar.
Can anyone ID them for me?
Help appreciated...

No idea on the 2nd piece, but the 1rst piece looks identical to the PS pump bracket that was on my 74 F350

Thanks Rory, sounds about right. A quick google showed a few F trucks with similar looking PS brackets...

The first one is a truck PS bracket for sure, it's one part of it, there is another piece that bolts to the front of the pump with three studs that fit through those slots.
That second piece is a mystery, nothing I've ever seen on any FE. I'd be surprised if that loop piece is actually supposed to go there.

I agree that in the 2nd pc that loop piece looks like it doesn't belong there. I'd take it off and see if the two smaller holes line up with intake or exhaust manifold bolts...meaning it's an OEM engine lifting piece.

Thanks guys. I've got a few other misc. brackets still to be ID'd. So I'll check them and see if there's something that looks like it belongs with the F truck's top PS pump bracket.
The other bracket we cant ID yet has an identical "I" stamped on it and is the same steel thickness etc., so I'm betting its FORD of some sort...

I believe the second piece is a GM alternator bracket with an engine lift bracket bolted to it.
-
Ahh yes, I've seen one like that on small block Chivverlays, mounts to the right front of the engine.
-
Thanks guys, I'll check those Chev ideas out.

Thanks Tom, certainly similar, missing the top hole but then I guess it is a dress up piece.
