that's a good deal.  you cant even get close to building that car for that price.   and that's not even the motor yet.

I agree.  theirs a 65 comet on racing junk too that's a 427 also.  I would love to have it.  their not asking a bad price on it either.

That's definitely a deal for the right person.
Engine alone probably over $25 K not to mention all the other parts included.
I think Jay should buy it !  ;D

I met him at the Las Vegas NHRA race when he was building it, he spared no expense. That is a real bargain.

So I am in serious discussions with Matt on buying this car
But also had the thoughts of building a big inch FE for my 67 mustang and drag race that with some limited street time , hate to pass up such a deal but I could spend less and have more fun with my car.
Any thoughts ?

Russ I don't know anything about your car but I think you would have to spend more than 35K
to come close to what he has done with this Thunderbolt.
If I didn't have so much invested in my 66 Fairlane I would have bought it in a heartbeat.

I was not planning on making my mustang the  caliber of car that Matt has built, but more of a street strip car.  Big inch FE , mini tub and cage.
I already have a set of edelbrock heads and dual quad intake ported by Les
And a pair of AC AD carbs
Something I would use more.    But it's such a good deal for the fairlane.   But will still need to machine block and assembly engine
