Sunday afternoon I was sitting in the passenger seat of the ’66 F100 I bought through the Purple Wave Auction and I felt in the pockets sewn around the bottom of the seat and found what appeared to be a crack pipe(as if I would know!). It looked unused so I wrapped it in a plastic bag and smashed it into a million pieces and threw it away. Apparently the Ford Co. Sheriff’s Dept. wasn’t too thorough with their search. If it had looked used I would have contacted them to see if they wanted it. Looks like I may need to dismantle the whole interior. That’s the last thing I need at a traffic stop! :o

Better check in the cab corners for small plastic bags, Alan LOL!

To my knowledge, that was an option on the '66 F100. You could have a cigarette lighter with ashtray, or the optional Crack Pipe in a hidden compartment...... Pretty Sure ???

my guess it was a NOS Rotunda hydrometer. I hear you can get $1000 + on ebay. Either that or the sheriff planted it & was waiting to see you driving it around, then pull you over & find drug paraphernalia, seize the truck, & they get to sell it again.

This is why ya gotta love this forum. I'm going to look at a '66 F100 this weekend, never thought about contraband. I'll be sure to take a knife with me to hack up the interior to check for drugs, don't want to get caught up in a sting operation-

Turning in a used crack pipe to local law enforcement would not be my first recommendation. Can you picture yourself getting pulled over and telling the cop "Yeah, I was just taking this to the station"?
"Honey, can you come post bail? It's a long story"

The only reason I would do that is because the Ford Co. Sheriff Dept. got this truck in a drug seizure type deal. It had little stickers marked "evidence" on all the doors and windows. I'd make them come get it too if they wanted it. However, I know very well the old saying "No good deed goes unpunished"! ::)

If you find drugs, I'd recommend leaving them in the truck and calling the police. You have records that you purchased the drugs from them, via a vehicle sale. Also, I don't think any cop would assume it's yours. No druggie calls the cops for them to come collect their drugs LOL.
Speaking of drugs, I was talking to a friend who lives in Colorado and is a cop. Apparently due to weed being legal there, companies are coming out with a wax THC extract that is like 80+% THC. They bake them into edible stuff, like cookies and gummy bears, and if you aren't careful you'll trip harder than a hit of LSD. A guy is right now facing homicide charges for shooting his wife. He was a regular family guy and decided to try the edibles and ate too many. So apparently weed does kill, when taken to the extreme.

I use to go to South Dakota to buy rust free trucks then bring them back to Wi and flip them. Bought a 75 ford Ranger XLT as loaded as you could get at the time, Had a topper on the back . Got it home and started rummaging around and found 3 death certificates.. Apparently was used as a hearse at one time.. Bought it close to a reservation.. Kinda creepy.. Every truck I bought out there, the defroster vents were full of .22 shells, most fired, some not....
