Title: Stock oil pan ID
Post by: My427stang on April 30, 2016, 02:19:43 PM
I have an oil pan here to put on a nice little 396 inch FE.  I want to buy a pickup to match, but not sure what I have.  I thought it was a truck pan, but it says C7AE-6675, has the factory scraper, a rounded front. I thought the truck pans were squared off and were a 67TE part number.

Anyone know if this is indeed a truck, or is it a car pan? Pics below

Leaning toward truck because I "think" the date code says 1974, but it's real tough to read

Thanks

I have the same pan on a 390 that is said to
came out of a 68 Galaxie. And the  64 pan
is like that exept drainplugg location and
no scraper.
So i think it's a a pass.pan

Sorry both my pans have a partial "windage tray"

Thanks!  I was told it was a truck pan, and that's what most of the pieces of the motor were off of, but the number threw me off as well as the scraper.

Should be a nice little motor, built it for resale, .004 below deck, C4 crank at .010/010, L2291s, reconditioned stock rods w/ARP bolts, square decked at 10.160, 276/219 .520 hydraulic flat tappet. HV oil pump. Just a good blueprinted healthy pump gas 396 inch FE
