when i bought a pcv valve it didnt have a ball inside.what is the purpose of the ball and do i need it.its on a street car with a bracket motor
-
does anyone know if i need a ball inside my pcv valve?
-
Yes you do but it's not always a steel ball btw. Some makes use a flat plate rather than a round ball. If you can blow thru the valve from the vacuum side (carb side) it's NFG and you need another one.

thank you Bob

Look at the m/e wagner pcv web site they have put a lot of time in to pcv set ups? the aftermarket one fits all is not the best way to go.Something most dont think about much is a pcv I did not till I seen this.

i would like to have one of those adjustable pcv valves, but i cant see spending 150 dollars on a pcv unless i had to.
