Title: Balancer without Casted V-Groove
Post by: Riskit1234 on April 14, 2016, 09:37:08 PM
Hello, I just ordered the March Performance Ultra pully kit and it says:
Requirements :
3 Bolt Balancer without Casted V-Groove

I have 2 360's and a 390 and non have one.  Suggestions?  Right now its going on a bone stock 1973 360 (F-250).  I am building the 390 but its gonna be a ways away ($$).  I bought an aftermarket ac and just wanna get the truck back on the road while I work on the motor.  So... can someone tell me a cheap work around for this.

Thanks

Not sure I'm following your question but the 67 and earlier FE's usually had a V-groove in theier rather narrow damper that served as both a damper and pulley. From 68 and up almost all FEs had the  same damper that accepted a pulley bolted on it with the mentioned 3-bolts

I guess that was my question... Although I wrote it completely incorrect. I need a balancer without the v-grove built in.  The 390 is from a 63 and one of the 360's is from a 67... I was hoping someone would say... "Hey knuckle head you already have what you need" even though I gave you no useful information.

So with the 73 360 the pully and balancer are 2 pieces?  Thank you for that.. No need to stress.
