The guys I know made $40-$50 an hour.  They also had to be in fantastic physical form.
I work with a few ex tree climbers and a few guys that did tower work.  The tower work blows me away.... free climbing 1,000ft to change a light bulb is just not in my range of things I'm willing to do.

Wow, thanks for posting. Well filmed, indeed. I guess Dutch elm disease killed it, right? Also, how old did they figure it was (tree0ring reading). On the city's parkway I'll guess as if it were the homeowners, that would cost a small fortune. That last cut and move was impressive as when the tree bumps the steel container, it move and shakes like it was cardboard!
