Hey guys,
So, my friend Dan got a 67 Ranchero parts car. 390, C-6 and 9" rear. Well, today I atttempted to swap the rears. Take the 8 out of the Comet and into the Ranchero. Take the 9 from the Ranchero and put it in the Comet. Well, the spring perches are different widths.
So, we are looking for a 66 Comet 9" housing. We can use the center section and axles from the Ranchero 9 as the axle overall width seems to be the same.
Perhaps someone with a Ranchero is stuck with a Comet/Fairlane 9" housing?
Or we will have to cut and weld the perches.
