Title: Do SOHC Fuel Pumps use a unique plunger rod?

I recall seeing something about a stub cam but what's/how's it drive?

Yes, they use a unique arm. The one in the ebay ad from Carl's isn't shaped quite the same as the originals, but it works. They drive off of an eccentric on the idler gear on the passenger side of the engine.

Take a look at the idle gear near the driver's side cam gear. The offset metal ring, is the eccentric gear that powers the manual fuel pump.
