I've been looking around and can't find a source. I'd like to put a new seal in when I put the original(ish) C8AF 12131A Ford distributor into my 445. The seal looks ok, but I don't have a new one to compare it to, and it seems a good idea to start with a new one, I just can't find any sources for the parts.

Paul, I haven't looked to see if they have it but I always first check: www.rockauto.com.
Just look under "yellow trucks" ;D

I believe it's Fel-Pro # 13069, available through most auto parts stores. If you don't have a parts store near you you can order it through Jegs and they will ship it right to your door for free ( no minimum purchase ).
*** I have to modify this - I see Jegs has gone to charging a shipping fee for orders under $75. No longer free shipping ***

I include this just for informational purposes - the original Ford part number was B8A-12143-A. There are NOS seals available around the internet. Here's a link to one on eBay, just because it has a good picture.

Thanks very much. Spent a fair bit of time throwing different descriptions and part numbers around without a result. I am putting together an order at Summit and they have the Felpro part.

Bruce - unfortunately that won't work, it isn't yellow anymore.

If you get one - fine.
If not, let me know - I have about a thousand of them on a pegboard hook here...

I have had sealing issues at the distributor on a couple different Edelbrock intakes. I sift through my gaskets till I find a tight one. Any particular manufacturer make one a little fatter than the others?

I just recently noticed my dist. seal started leaking this fall, so I decided to change it out with a NOS Ford seal that we had. The seals have been stored in the house since new, so no drastic temp. changes, which kept them soft and pliable. This is I believe the same part # as Kevin mentioned. I have the F427 intake currently. It is either the intake itself or intake/distributor alignment methinks. Only time it leaks is when I start winging it 6-6500rpm, just when things start to get fun. ::)

A long time ago in a Galaxie far far away, they used to be a felt like material.
