Title: Carb spacer/adapter .
Post by: fekbmax on December 18, 2015, 11:28:34 PM
OK so I got one of Jays adapters, I have the Parker racing funnel web intake that I had mounted on my old PSE intake adapter. The intake and ford power adapter are all port matched nicely. I have acquired a very nice  AED 1050 Dominator that is back fresh from AED where it was overhauled.
Should I use the carb with a good 4500 to 4150 adapter ?  Or trade or sell the 4500 for a good 4150 that already fits my funnel web and super sucker spacer ?
I'd like to know what you guys think. It would be used on a race engine of course .

Try the Dominator with a 4500 to 4150 adapter.  I really like the HVH adapters....I think they really increase the velocity going into the manifold.  I spend a little time blending the spacer to the intake plenum....

I would try it.....

I've got one on this engine:

Second using the adapter to use the Dominator.  We did that on the Y-block EMC engine, and picked up the torque and hp everywhere.  The little Y-Block @ 362 CI is making 599.4 hp on the dyno @6800 rpm, now.  Joe-JDC
