Title: Engine weight Aluminum block

Just out of curiosity, any idea what a completely aluminum set up weighs?  Looking at specs, they say a complete 427 with a cast iron block, heads and intake manifold is around 650.  I'd bet you could shave 150 pounds off that.

Closer to 250 pounds off.  An aluminum block will save about 100 pounds by itself.

Its been a long time but i swear the number on my deal was 475 complete pan to carb
