My current unknown brand of headers cover the bottom of the exhaust port on my 66 f100. The Hedmans have good reviews of fitting I the truck perfectly but what exhaust port do they fit? Anyone have experience with this?
Herman 89100 to c8ae-h?

That should be Hedman not Herman. Sorry about the autocorrect.

I don't remember what brand, but they were cheap, around $129 and with a die grinder we slotted the mounting holes on the flanges to get a better port match. Then sent them out for aluminum coating for $159. On another set we welded a thick, 1/2 inch bead at the intersection of the tube and flange, on the outside, to provide base material to enlarge the flange opening and have somewhat of a transition area to the tube. And, then sent them out for coating.

Those Hedmans are correct for D2TE-AA, C8AE-H and the other low exhaust port heads

I had a feeling they would work since most fe powered pickups came with that head style.

I run them on my truck with a 445 and heavily ported D2TE-AAs.
A nice enough header. Unfortunately the collector is very very short and cramped, my hunch is there would be more power with a longer collector, but there isn't a lot of room there either to extend backwards.
For what its worth, the truck got it's first set of Blackjack headers in 1985, they rusted out and they got Hedman in aroun 1993 which lasted most of it's life, and this recent build I had them coated and they will likely last forever. A nice fitting header for the money
