Maybe a rhetorical question, but could I drill and tap my oil filter adapter for an 1/8" NPT hole to mount my adapter fitting for the mechanical oil pressure line? It sure looks like there would be enough room just upstream of the filter to put the hole in there. I have a Tee fitting from ViAir, but it's way too tall and wont clear the block with the idiot light sender in it. Maybe there is a lower profile 1/4" NPT male - 1/8 NPT female - 1/4" NPT female tee fitting out there that would do the job just as easily?

You can get a stubby one.
Maybe this one.

Yea that fitting shown should work. I managed to get two oil pressure sending units attached by using a ninety degree, a t, and then two more ninety degrees.
Everything had to be turned just the right way though. I run the factory oil pressure gauge and a S/W electric, and I have p/s.
So yours should be easy, put the line going up and the sending unit to the side.

Thanks guys, that fitting along with a 1/4 to 1/8 reducer will do the trick.

Looked like $13 to ship $3 worth of parts, so I'll buy from them when I've got more stuff I need down the road.
Went ahead and tapped it for 1/8NPT after a trip to 3 different hardware stores for a tap. Looks like it should work, though pretty as a mud fence. :-\

Looks good to me. 8) Now you've got me wondering if I could squeeze in two oil sending units without all the plumbing that I used. :-\

This is the larger port stock C8AE version, and I'd see no issue with up to six holes if you really didn't care if it looked like swiss cheese. I guinea pigged my C0AE small port as a test and it drilled/tapped very nicely. I hate the look of seven different plumbing adapters and tee's that I've had on every hotrod up til now. This at least looks semi-intrusive.
