Title: 66 4 Door Galaxie Parts Shipping Question
Post by: chris401 on September 10, 2015, 05:08:27 PM
If the rear collision damage is too much it will be a parts car. For big pieces like hood, finders, grille, header, ect. where do you go to ship? I hauled things like this on my own hot shot trailer but wanted to see what suggestions some of you had.

Chris, I have not shipped a lot of stuff, but I used FedEx freight one time to ship a crate for one of the kids contests about 3 years ago. Using the company account that I work for, it was $125.00 back then. The thing was big, took 3 sheets of plywood to build it. Rough dimensions was 14" x 45" x 75". Not very heavy either.

A light weight crate is doable if it does not exceed in cost. What is the typical price of a straight hood with a little more than surface rust in latch and lip area?
