Title: Gasket to seal factory spacer with rear vacuum port?...
Post by: cjshaker on September 02, 2015, 05:06:59 PM
Does anyone know where to get a carb gasket that is big enough to seal the factory spacer with the rear vacuum port? It's a common problem with the bottom of the spacer open/exposed and will suck air like a marathon runner on the 25th mile if it's not sealed up. I've ran out of my stash and am having a hard time finding one big enough to seal that open area. I need the spacer for my power brakes and the RPM has no rear vacuum port.

I use this spacer because it has a PVC port.  http://www.summitracing.com/parts/trd-2584/overview/

Thanks for that link, Jeff. Probably better off going that route anyway so I don't have to use a plate to seal that area.

No problem.    Here's another one at Jegs that should help keep things cooler than the aluminum one.  Jegs has military discount also if you are a vet are still in.  http://www.jegs.com/i/Trans+Dapt/969/2584/10002/-1

On the aluminum one, I had to drill the carb bolt holes a little larger for it slide down the studs.  Not sure if the phenolic one will need the same.
