Hey Alan, nothing like an empty room, eh? :D  I haven't advertised the web site yet, so there's not a lot of people looking at it.  Hopefully when my book is ready to ship and I start pointing people to this web site to buy it, more people will sign up on the forum.  I guess we will see.  I had a new member from Germany sign up a couple of days ago; I figured this was his post!

Well, I am rarely first at anything so I thought I would take advantage of the opportunity. Also, All the machines I work on are from Germany so I have been learning some German to help converse with the vendors.

My favorite German word:  Ausgezeichnet

Pronounced 'owse get sike net'

Means: excellent, outstanding, awesome.   ;D

The first time I went to Germany, our company's sales agent over there taught me that the most important word in German was "schiesse".  After I heard him say it a few times, I figured out what it meant  :D

"Arschlecken!" comes in very handy too, especially when working on cars.
