Does anyone know if the T&D race rockers have the same ID. As the erson rockers. ? Just wondering if the small diameter short shaft T&D is the same diameter as the small shaft erson.

I don't have experience with the T&D race rockers, but their website says they are a 5/8" shaft(.625"). I just measured my Erson's with a tape measure (didn't have a mic handy), and they measured 11/16"(.6875"). Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I'm curious why you are inquiring. Are you considering running Erson's on T&D shafts or vice versa?

Jared is correct, the T&D race rockers use a 5/8" shaft and the Ersons use an 11/16" shaft.

I was wondering because with the erson no longer available, I'm modifying my ersons to have additional mounting points off the head studs. I need to use this type of set up because this particular engine is a non drilled/solid block with no oil galleys for the lifters so I need the standard rocker assembly oiling system to remain in tact. If I'm going through the trouble to make these modification's id like to know if there is some type of rocker that could be used as a replacement in case a rocker gets damaged. I realize the geometry would be different but I still couldn't help but think out loud and wonder about this. Thinking the T&D rockers would be available per piece or pair. My best bet is going to be finding a used set of erson's to have around for parts but I hadn't seen any erson's for sale. I also realize there are several places that would make a copy of the erson rocker but I'm sure that would be pricey and time consuming.

Another option you have is buy the T&D "street" set and use those. They oil the same as the Ersons, however, you still would be doing the extra support to them that you are planning with the Ersons. The only difference is that the T&D are readily available. Just food for thought. If you have the Ersons already, you may not want to invest in another set of rockers.

Id love to get my hands on one of the Dove super heavy duty sets for a couple days. It almost looks like overkill but also looks like some good idea there and id love to be able to get into them and see what they did.
