I'm sure its 356, heat treated to T6. Just about all engine related aluminum castings are from 356.

Everybody that we know and race with has huge respect for everything that Robert Pond is doing and for his gorgeous parts and sage advice. And he is a racers racer.
All of the old FORD RACING parts that we raced or machined insisted on certified ALCOA ALUMINUM bar stock just like Robert Pond. This means, the alloy is purchased then tracked all the way through the pour. This is the finest quality aluminum in the world if you ask us, or BOEING, AUDI and many more. For me, it is worth every penny because it is the standard of the industry.
I am sure that you will love your POND block. They are strong, light and fast.

Alcoa is also used for the best wheels, aluminum, Shelby insisted on it...
